How do you do "2sc in sc" for amigurumi?

The instructions say:
Round 2 – 2sc in each sc around
Round 3 – *2sc in next sc, sc in next sc* repeat 6 times
Round 4 – *2sc in next sc, sc in next 2sc* repeat 6 times

What does it mean by repeat 6 times?

How do you do 2sc in a sc?
By "repeat 6 times", does it just mean to repeat that around that round, or make 6 rounds using those instructions?

It means you single crochet two times in a single crochet.

Round 2 – you would single crochet two times in each stitch (2 sc in each sc), leaving you with twice as many stitches in round 2 as you had in round 1.

Round 3 – you would make 2 scs in the first stitch (2sc in next sc), then make 1 sc in the next, so for every 2 stitches you’d make 3 single crochets.

Round 4 – make 2 scs in the first stitch, single crochet stitch in the next two stitches.

Repeat six times means that you repeat the pattern 6 times.

It will be very helpful for you to read a guide explaining basic stitches.

Where the top loop of the sc is from the previous round, instead of sc 1 time, sc 2 times. So you will double the number of stitches when you finish the round. The next round you are going to do 2 sc in next sc, sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc, sc in next sc until you have gone all the way around. And so on.
